Mona is a second-generation tax preparer; she began preparing taxes while she was in college and has been in the tax business for over 40 years. Mona is an expert in real estate, small business, foreign, and estate/trust taxation.

Mona has been married to her high school sweetheart, Charles, for 35 years. Mona has two adult daughters. Her youngest is a teacher at a local elementary school, her oldest is a CPA and has joined Tucson Tax Team. There are now three generations of number crunchers in the family!

Amy E. Perlich, CPA

Email Amy: [email protected]

Amy has always had a love for numbers; math was her favorite subject in school. (But don't ask her to do it in her head; she needs assistance from her ten-key!) The same classmates that hated math also hate taxes; Amy takes pleasure in relieving stress from clients and putting them at ease.

Amy continued her passion for numbers in college. She graduated from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, with her undergraduate accounting degree and Master of Accounting degree with an emphasis in taxation.

Degrees in hand, Amy loaded up her gas-guzzling truck and headed for the Bay Area. She worked at a prestigious firm that serviced start-up companies and high-net-worth individuals. She is no stranger to California taxes, lengthy brokerage statements, Schedule K-1s, and stock options.

Eventually, though, she succumbed to homesickness; she returned to Tucson, where she worked for a local Arizona firm and then remotely for yet another Bay Area firm, before finding her place here at Tucson Tax Team.

When Amy isn't preparing tax returns or sipping Cabernet while binging Netflix, she is spending time with her husband - friend of 20 years before they married - and managing her Airbnb and traveling. Her favorite vacations include a road trip in Iceland, hiking to Machu Picchu, cruising to various Hawaiian Islands, and boating in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Amy is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

Rachael De La Rosa, CPA

Email Rachael: [email protected]

Rachael is a third-generation tax preparer. She loves Lebanese food, exploring new cities, a good book, and anything to do with cats. Speaking of, she has 3 feline friends at home (her husband is not as stoked as she is about that number) and is always on the lookout for a potential 4th to add to the mix (don't mention that to her husband).

She was born and raised in Tucson and met her husband, Rocky, at the University of Arizona. She graduated with her undergrad in Accounting from Eller Business School. Because 4 years of college just isn't enough, she took one extra year to get her Master's in accounting as well. After graduating, she left Tucson like every other millennial to live in Denver, CO where the beers and beards are aplenty. Eventually, the desert called her back home, though she's still adjusting to the summers again.

Rachael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but promises that despite the designation, she won't use any accounting puns around you, and she most definitely does not own a pocket protector. She has worked for two other CPA offices before settling into the family business. Rachael has plenty of experience with rental properties, employee stock options and small business taxation.

Rachael is a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers (NATP).
